Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, a college professor, had the Porsche automotive
company handed down to him by the original founder, and grandfather, Ferdinand
Porsche. When he got reins of his grandfather’s company, Porsche created and

to accomplish something more. With an eye for the unusual, Porsche wanted to do
something considerably ‘unrealistic’, ‘risky’, or ‘out of the ordinary’. So,
that is exactly what this driven mind did.
In 1972, Porsche set up his design studio. From here, he began to create
Porsche Design watches and products, such as
watches, glasses, and other accessories. His philosophy was to portray the
automotive aspect of the company in his products. For instance, the Porsche
watches he created had a very significant, precise, and original mechanical
system behind it. The look was sleek was definitive. All of these qualities,
Porsche felt, measured up to the aspects and the high quality of the Porsche
automotive side.
