Georges-Emile Eberhard descended from many generations of
seldom known watch makers. In 1887, he opened up his shop and started in his
little watch making business in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland expecting to turn
out like his ancestors. Soon after he opened shop, he became known for making
precision pieces of the highest grade, making his timepieces extremely popular.
Since the very beginning, Eberhard had a motto: ‘Innovative with tradition’.
Every single watch Eberhard has created is a mirror reflection of this motto. As
time went on, his watches were up to speed with the latest technologies and
styles, but always kept a traditional look to them. This is what drew most of
Eberhard’s costumers. In the 1930s, his watches became so popular, that
commission officers of the royal Italian navy became Eberhard’s number one
customer.
Eberhard watches are extremely
distinctive—one of a kind! There is not one other watch out there that compares
to the designs of these watches. In fact, some are so unique that they are the
first watches to ever have the separate minute clock, hour clock, 24 hour clock,
and small second clock arranged in a horizontal line across the watch’s face.
Georges-Emile got more than he asked for as his brand of watches quickly and
sufficiently became a world-wide success. Everything about his designs of
watches draws an individual in, whoever that may be. And, not only are they easy
