boutique in Geneva, Switzerland. Selling only fine pieces of jewellery and a
small line of sunglasses, Gruosi quickly became a huge success. He used black
diamonds in his products, which is what De Grisogono is named after, which was
considered unusual. However, people love unusual and loved Gruosi’s products,
which allowed Gruosi to expand his shop internationally within the first five
years of his business.
In the year 2000, Gruosi introduced his line of watches, starting with the first
watch he ever made called Instrumento No Uno. This watch set the standards
extremely high for the already popular brand, and made the De Grisogono brand an
even greater success.
