designer since 1830, when it was founded by brothers Louis Victor Baume and
Pierre-Joseph-Celestin Baume. Originating in Switzerland, the company had only
one slogan, which was also their main goal:

In 1847, the Baume Brothers extended their agency to London, as it was a major
European country. Alcide Eugene, son of Louis Victor, and Arthur Joseph, son of
Pierre-Joseph-Celestin, took over the company in 1880 and made the company an
international success. In 1893, the name changed from Baume Brothers, to Baume
et Mercier.
Baume and Mercier watches come in only the highest quality, and the highest
